We have had a GREAT summer. It has been busy but fun. I decided I need to share what we have been up to. All though this does not include all the baseball games and swim meets etc..... its still a glimpse. Enjoy and thanks Summer Allred for your inspiration to update my blog.

Me and Ryan did a Maui trip with friends in June and had a wonderful time. This is Ulua Beach. One of our favorite beaches to snorkel at.

We found this cute blue door in Maui and couldn't resist taking photos infront of it.

Even though summer is coming to and end and fall is all around us. Which is my favorite time of year. We are still going crazy with baseball and football. We just celebrated Haydens 11th birthday and this is the first time in several years we didnt celebrate at Lake Powell. I think he felt pretty cheated. We were pretty bummed about it. We are missing Powell but hopefully we will get to visit next year.

Another great day for baseball. It was finally semi warm that we could wear summer clothes with a hoodie. I meant to take more pictures but missed alot of spectators. Grandma and Grandpa Schwartz came and brought Cody who was a big help with Wyatt too. Grandma Peacock came and brought Emari, Ella and Wyatt. Grandpa Peacock came and brought us all Wendys for lunch. Oh I need to take better pictures. Thanks everyone for coming and supporting Hayden. It was a good day.

Had a nice Arrow of Light Ceremony for the Weblos up the canyon. Hayden also earned his Weblos patch.. So thankful for the scout leaders that worked so hard with the boys to help them earn such a great award. You can see the boys were having a blast and a camp fire is always fun.

Zach has accomplished many things lately.... He has mastered the rubik cube or how ever you spell it??? He manages to take photos of himself.... he has mastered pizza from scratch and has discovered spray paint art which he is really good at in fact he sales his paintings and has also made some for his old 6th grade classroom.

Well school is finally out... We had a cold and wet Memorial Day weekend with alot of baseball but now the summer has began. More baseball, swim team, scout camps, family camp outs and our long awaited Maui trip in 9 days... oh yeah we are stoked and the boys are stoked for their camping trips. I am really missing my blog and need to get on more but I do love looking at everyone elses.
Of course I had to post a photo of Maui just for fun.... can't wait to be in the sun and the sand.

WOW I know I always say how busy we are but its so true!! Anyhow life is good. The boys are doing great in school. Hayden has been playing basketball and has started baseball practice already gearing up for some cold tournaments in March. He is doing awesome at school and really improving in his reading. Zach has had 2 winter campouts which I think is crazy but he survived and loved them. He is working on 2 merit badges which I have found is alot of work!!!! For Citizenship in the Community he has to volunteer 8 hours to the community and finding him somewhere to volunteer has been a challenge but we did it. He has been volunteering at the SCERA and he loves it!! He is so in his element there. I think he would be there on a weekly basis if we lived closer but come on Orem with the I-15 in a mess makes it hard.

We are loving the warmer weather and wish it would stay. So in honor of some warmer weather and sping time here is a picture from the tulip festival a couple years ago.

Daniels Summit Lodge

After Ryan had been gone to Wyoming for 8 days we took a little over-nighter up the canyon to Daniels Summit Lodge. Its beautiful up there. Everyone asked if we snowmobiled but we didnt have that much time since we went up late Saturday and came home Sunday morning. Next time we will snowmobile for sure. It snowed all night and by morning we had about 2 feet of fresh new snow!! We had dinner and relaxed in the hot tub and watched a movie and...... oh get your mind out of the gutter... listened to the snow as it came crashing off the roof all night. The snow was unbelivable but oh so perfect!!!

Lake Powell weekend with friends

First off this is not our boat!!! The second picture is our boat!!! But we wish the first picture was our boat!!! haha
Had a fun time at Powell and went to The Pointe Marina (Antelope Point Reservation) which is where all the wealthy people go except for the 2nd picture and us of course. We did have a good time checking the big boats out there as we went for ice cream. All though Arizona was receiving record amounts of rain fall that week we had perfect weather. Good times just lounging and playing. Loved it!!!

And if you can't tell we loved our "do rags" thats what we called them anyways. Perfect for the boat!!! Why I have no pictures of Justin is beyond me but he was there with us. I will get pictures of him and dedicate a whole post to just him.

Took Hayden fishing at Maple Lake while Zach was in Boston(thats why he isnt in any pictures. Will post Boston pictures later I hope) and caught only 1 little fishy. We fished there for 2 nights with no luck!! Apparently the fish werent biting for us but they were for everyone else it seems!!!

Can't believe its already July 22nd. The summer has flown by. We have been busy like everyone else with baseball, swimming and little trips here and there. Right now Zach is with his Grandma Peacock and Cousin Amiee touring Boston and then off to Maine. What a lucky kid. We can't wait till they get home so we can see all the pictures they are taking. Its the 24th this weekend and Hayden's team is playing in the Tournament of Champions through Rocky Mtn School of Baseball. Only 12 teams qualify for this tourny so we are really excited. Here are some pictures of our Summer so far!

Zach and Hayden went with Ryan on the Youth Conference River Rafting trip and had a fun time. Looks beautiful there and I here the river was real calm unlike the Provo river that scared the crap out of me that's part of the reason I didn't do this trip and time off at work. They had fun and I said maybe we could go as a family sometime.

Hayden playing ball this summer. He loves to steal and get dirty and he was once a very slow runner but has increased a bit. He also played city league and was picked up on a team to go to tournament. He loves to play.

Oh the joys of swimming laps every morning!!!! We carpooled with the Finch's. Swimming laps is hard work but they did really well. Didn't make it to any swim meets because of scheduling conflicts but maybe next year.

Zach playing ball this summer. Was fun to watch. First year on this team and they did pretty well. I think they will come along nicely it they keep at it.

Us at Lanikai beach. Rated one of the #1 beaches. The sand is like powdered sugar and the color of the water is beautiful. Definitely my favorite. I could sit on this beach all day. The sun was going down so its a little shaded.

Eating breakfast on Waikiki Beach at Hula Grill!!! It was a great place not only for the food but for the view too. Meals like that are the best.

Toured the USS Missouri Battleship on Ford Island. Went all the way through it and saw a submarine heading out.

Great hike to Diamond Head.

Snorkeling at Sharks Cove. A little rocky but once they got out there it was good!

Had to take the kids for that famous snow cone we love.

The first picture is Zach heading off to his first overnight winter camp and as you can see the backpack weighs more than him. Ryan said he will learn to pack less next time and my comment back was how is that possible for a winter camp??? My feeling is you could never pack enough!!!! He survived and came home very tired!!! He also earned his Weblos badge and his Arrow of Light!!! Finally thanks to a pushy mom and WONDERFULL scout leaders.

Well as you can see by the title Zach has been baking again!!!! Since grandma always bakes cakes for everyones birthday Zach wanted to do one for Grandma Peacock's birthday. Turned out pretty dang good!!! He thinks he is the "Cake Boss" and wants to make them bigger and better including using fondant. I told him keep dreaming and watching "Cake Boss"!!!

We had a great time on this field trip and learned alot. Zach had been looking forward to this since school started!!! I would definately go again. Representative Painter spoke with them at lunch time and answered their questions. He also provided pizza for the kids. It was a fun day!!!

We tried to go to the temple over Christmas break but time and weather just never permitted. We finally got to go up on Saturday and watch the JS movie. The boys really liked it. Then we walked around and once we were starving we went and ate at the Garden Restaurant. The boys loved it!! Nothing like fruit smoothies and fried pickles!!! YUM!!! Not to mention the peacock carpet... We were so glad Grandma Peacock came with us to show us around. She is a pro with knowing where everything is. It was a great day and the kids seemed to have a great time.

Over Christmas break the kids did alot of sledding, rabbit hunting (no pictures) and ice fishing. Brrrrr! As you can see they were very sucessfull at ice fishing but unfortunately my hubby needs some lessons on picture taking. Next time I will go along and freeze my but off just so I can get some good pictures of the excited smiling faces. Yes that is Zach and Hayden in those pictures. He told me just to be happy he took any!!!! Goofball.

Today is December 15th and we are sooo booked the next 10 days and Christmas will be here before we know it! Yikes!!! I am trying really hard to get things wrapped up so we can find time to enjoy this time of year but it sure has been hard and I thought I simplified this year. Whatever!!! I am sure having the boys take hunter safety in the month of December didnt help but atleast they both passed. Yahoo!!! I think all the shopping is done and hopefully the postal service will pull through and deliver all the items before its too late. Hopefully I will get something posted before the 15th of January!!! Merry Christmas!

I can't believe 2 days until Thanksgiving. Where does the time go? By the way I am so jealous of everyone who is done Christmas shopping because I havent even started. Yikes!!! Better get going on that real real soon. Zach still has a massive cough he is trying to get over and he keeps asking me when will it go away..... We have started Christmas candy but I have to leave it at my mother-in-laws house so it doesnt get eaten up. By who??? you ask. By me!!! I am a sucker for homemade butter mints. This weekend will be carmels. I love this time of year but I really just want to keep things simple. Happy Thanksgiving.

After being home sick from school for 4 days Zach is ready to feel better and get back to his "social life". Started off with a little cough and it turned into a massive painful cough, sore throat, headache and fever. He has never missed more than 1 day of school because of being ill but he couldnt go with a fever so he slept a ton and took like 3 baths a day to warm up. I have not washed more towels in all my life. Any how finally he is feeling like himself today. Thanks goodness because with all the sick stuff going around I was getting a little worried about the kido. Now hopefully I have cleaned well and disinfected everything so nobody else gets it.

I know I know I never update my blog any more!!!! I really do miss it. Hopefully I can get going again. We are loving this weather and I am so wanting to play Christmas music. Is that okay? I know some feel you miss Thanksgiving by doing that but I think it makes Thanksgiving even more enjoyable. I mean its only 2 months out of the year so why not enjoy it as long as we possibly can. I am sure Ryan will just LOVE it!! Haha Zach is having fun doing his Up With Kids Class every saturday and he entered 2 items in the Reflections contest. He loves to do that. He helped Gma Peacock out on Halloween at their church carnival and was part of the spook ally!!! He absolutely LOVED it!!!! Me, Ryan and Hayden were in St. George over Halloween for a ball tournament. It was fun!!! I still can't believe nobody took a picture of Zach in his Halloween costume. I wasn't here and I thought someone would for sure. But it didnt happen. Bummer. Baseball has ended for a few months and it will be nice to have my Saturdays back!!! Yahoo. Don't get me wrong I love the games but it sure is time consuming!!!! The schedule is already getting full with holiday fun!!! Well here are a few of the latest pictures.

We had our annual trip in September to Lake Powell and it was perfect weather. Couldn't have been any nicer. My parents came down and that was the first time they had been to LP on the water. What troopers. We took them to Rainbow Bridge and Dangling Rope for ice cream. Which you can only get to by boat. The boys did a ton of fishing and Gma Peacock went off the slide and she has been patiently waiting for her picture to be posted on my blog.

The boys have been counting down all week long how many days left until we head to Powell. I am happy to announce its only 2 more days. We still need to pack, make salsa, granola, arrange animals(any takers?), finish shopping, clean the house, make it to a double header baseball game on saturday and the list goes on and on. Oh well one thing at a time. No matter what it takes it will be well worth it. They boys are hoping to be great fisherman this year and catch tons of fish!!!!

School is going great. The kids are loving their teachers and their classes. Yahoo. They slept out on the tramp the other night for the first time and actually made it through the night. I was very surprised!!!!

I was "pressured" into going to the Keith Urban concert. It was soooooo worth it. Talk about a great concert. He is absolutely adorable!!!

Onion Days

Well the Onion Day celebration is officially here. We kicked off Friday night with the Carnival. We love to do Fridays because its dollar night but the place was way over crowded. I don't think the boys did more than 2 or 3 rides. My kids are at that transition age where they are too big for the kiddy rides and mom is too nervous to let them go on "spin out". I did let Zach go on the Zipper and I think he had fun. Maybe each year we will add one big ride to his belt. Hayden had no interest at all. Smart kid!!!! The fireworks were quite a disapointment if you ask me? 15 minutes come on. Payson City always does a pretty good show but that was too short. Must be funds!!! Oh well today (saturday) we are off to a double header baseball game for Hayden and then tonight the Wizard of Oz. We can't wait to see it. We have heard nothing but great things about OZ. I love the long weekened because it leads into a short week. So sorry I have no pictures to post of the family at the Carnival but shortly I will have pictures of Lake Powell up. (Can't wait!!) Next year I think I will pay my kids to NOT go to the Carnival.

School has officially started. WOW where did the summer go????? We were lucky enough not to have any homework this week but I am sure come Monday it will start since it will be a normal week. We start baseball and soccer next week too, not to mention Hayden is finishing up at Sylvan for the next month or so 2 nights a week. Hmmmmm how will we ever fit all this in??? I must add that Sylvan has been great and is really helping Hayden with his reading skills. Yahoo...The kids love their classes and their teachers. Zach has Mr. Lybbert and Hayden has Mr. Lai. Should be a great year.

We had a great time in SG. It was hot but fun. We saw Footloose at Tuacahn and the kids enjoyed it and got to meet the cast afterwards. Nothing like hanging at the pool and then off to ride the go-carts. Then we had breakfast Sunday morning at the park before we headed home. It was nice to get away.

Ok this is for all the bloggers without Facebook. Here is some pictures from girls camp when we went rafting. It was fun but a little scary. Alteast that is what I think. Our first raft didn't get out in time and went under the BRIDGE OF DEATH. OOOPS!!!! Kinda scarry but everyone was ok. I would recommend doing it with guides next time for sure.

Well this week has been soooo busy. I had to work 4 days until 5pm, which I am normally off by 2pm and we had baseball and extra animals to feed as you can see by the pictures. That was actually the highlight of the week. Some friends were out of town so we went to feed their animals each day. The boys loved it. Feeding the horse, Tripper, and the chickens, not to mention getting their eggs and cooking them for breakfast. Yes the cat too and sorry no pictures of the dogs. But you can see the boys had a blast taking care of them and Zach said prior, to the week beginning, that this was going to be "the best week ever". I guess we will need to move to a farm so he can have daily chores like this. Yeah right, then I would be feeding all the animals.

Here is just a handfull of the pictures we took at Powell last weekend. We had a good time. The weather was pretty good and it was great to see Glen and Kim. Not to mention all the food we ate!!! Nobody got hurt this year which was a good thing but we did miss Glen out on the water on saturday because has was sick. Bummer! But by the looks of the air he was catching on friday, you can tell it was a great day.

WOW! I am so behind on regularly updating my blog. But I guess thats what happens when summer hits. Here are a couple of pictures from Ryan and the boys fishing trip with Dave out at Yuba. The spent the whole day there and had a blast in the fishing boat. We are loving the mild weather and trying to get the back yard all put back together. Our peas are coming on strong. Cant wait to be able to eat them and the rasberries will be ready soon too. Yum yum!! Nothing like a garden.

Is count down one or two words? I have no idea. Any how we are looking so forward to seeing Amy and Kenny and the girls this weekend. Maybe a little swimming and a little golfing for the guys. Just hanging out with good friends sounds good to me. We are also on the count down for school to end. Ya we are ready for a break. School is great but so is summer break. Then we are on the count down for Greenriver, cousin sleepover at my house, Lake Powell and St. George. WOW we love little weekend adventures. I have tons of pictures to share but no time. Soon I will get them up. We have been doing tons of baseball with Hayden and Zach. Zach's team has really pulled together. He got a triple in his first game and can I just say it was awesome!!! Between practice and games we are running in every direction. We are loving this nice weather and being out in the yard.

Well Kris made it to the top 2 in American Idol. I had a feeling he might. I hate when it gets to the top 3. I don't like to see any of them go home. Ok not true I would have been ok to see Adam go home but with all the love the judges give him I knew that would not happen. We are off to Vegas next weekend to see my friend and soooo excited and the next weekend is Greenriver. I love these little weekend trips because it gives me something to look forward to.

Hayden is playing on an 8U baseball team and is loving it. They practice 3 nights a week and play double headers every Saturday. It is so fun watching them learn how to play the game of baseball. What a talented group of kids. The team name is the South County Power. Don't they look professional. GO POWER !!!!!!

My favorite picture of the day. I told Hayden look at mom and the horse put his head up while he was eating to pose for the picture also.

We got to learn about alot of different animals. Aren't they cute.

They also learned about plants and bees. If you look hard enough you can see the queen bee. Look really really hard. Do you see her? Don't worry we could not find her either.

The Farm Field Day started off with this poor sheep getting sheered. Doesn't he just look miserable. The way I see it the poor thing never stood a chance against donating his wool.

Not only were the Helvey's visiting last week so was Kim and the girls from Arizona. We got together for one last shin dig at Jumpin Jacks before they made their way back home. Helvy's visit from Iowa

Last sunday we had the Helvey's over for dinner while they were in from Iowa. The Finch's and the Hank's joined us too so all the kids could get together. By the looks of things they had a great time and it turned out to be a nice day. We are sad to see them leave again but hopefully they will return soon for good.

Pinewood Durby Fun.

The boys had there pinewood durby a couple saturdays ago. There was a total of 16 cars that raced. They had a good time. The pinewood durby has always been a positive experience for Zach and Hayden.

The whole temple posting is out of control!!! Probably because I used my other camera and I can't figure out the problem. I even re-posted it. Weird but its driving me crazy and I have no time to fix it lately. Oh well I guess. Can't wait to see Kim tonight for dinner with the girls. She is in from Arizona. It will be fun. Also looking forward to seeing the Helvey's and hoping the boys can get together and hang out like old times. Saturday I am off to do BYU concession's again but instead of basketball it will be baseball. I love baseball uniforms if you know what I mean. I also love baseball because its a sure sign warm weather is coming. So lets pray for atleast the 50's this saturday since we will be outside kind of.

Draper Temple

We had a great time visiting the Draper Temple on Thursday. We took the kids out of school a little early so we could go up in the daylight and get some neat pictures. It is beautiful up there. We invited Grandma Peacock to go with us. After the Temple it was off to IKEA (Yeah) and dinner at the Olive Garden (Yum). We had a great day and the weather was beautiful.

Valentine Cup Cakes !!!!

We decided to do Valentine cup cakes and thought what a great idea to take them to some friends for their birthdays since they landed in the same week. The pictures are of me and Hayden slaving over a hot oven baking cup cakes and then after all that hard work Ryan and Hayden went to deliver some to Bro Muhelstein and tripped and brought back dirt covered cup cakes. It was so dark out Hayden thought when he fell down he was being attacked by a dog. Any how after I laughed at him I asked him if he was hurt and he said "only my pride". Needless to say we made a double batch and had plenty of cup cakes so the next batch we drove in the care down our street 3 houses. As we went to deliver the other cup cakes Hayden told everyone the funny story. We had a good laugh at Ryan's expense. What a great sport he is.

Draper Temple Open House

Took the young women to the Draper Temple last night. It was so fun. I think they really enjoyed themselves. It is beautiful there and I recommend everyone take their families. I know I am. What a great opportunity for kids to get to see inside the temple. Sorry no pictures because I did not want to lug the camera around but now I regret it.

Hiking to the top was a good work out. Its 8/10 of a mile with only 2/10 paved not to mention about 300 stairs mixed in with a long tunnel thru the mountain. You have a 360 degree view of the island from the top. Worth the hike but highly recommend training on a stair master before hand which I didnt do. Just kidding its not that bad.

The PCC was great. If you like to see hot men with no shirts on this is the place to visit. Really it was great. The different islands they have for you to visit, the lua and the Horizons night show. Talk about alot of culture.

Hayden has been wanting some snorkeling pictures so here you are. We snorkeled at Hanauma Bay today which was absolutely great. A bit of practice for me at first but of course Ryan was a natural and very patient with me. Its been a while since we last snorkeled and now I know why here in Hawaii is a great place to do it. Once I got comfortable with all the gear and breathing it was sooooo much fun. Loved it.

Other Places we visited today.

We drove down the coast today and stopped at several beaches but we were trying to find the #1 beach on hawaii as advertised on the travel channel which is Lanikai Beach. Which we did find. Its the picture with the 2 islands in the back. The islands are called The Mokulua Islands and are sea bird sanctuaries which you can kayak out too. The tide here at this beach is so calm you can snorkel, kayak or just swim. Very nice soft beach where kids would be completely safe. No big waves at all. The other two pictures show how the rains have washed away some of the shore line. The owner of the house we are in said the rains and tides has washed away about 4 feet of beach just below us which included part of the rock stairs that lead down to the beach. Any how see ya soon.

BONZAI PIPELINE ON THE NORTH SHORE

here are some pictures of the Bonzia pipeline which had extremely large waves today probably because a storm is coming in. When we get home and can edit our pictures I have some to zoom up on with about 6 surfers out there. We sat out there for about 2 hours and just watched the waves and the sun set. I could sit out there all day.

We walked a mile down our beach to see this seal that has come onto shore for a couple of days. Yes it is alive. We are told after a couple of days it will go back to the ocean.

Sorry no pictures yet we have been so busy but I am hoping tomorrow we will have faster internet so I can get some pictures up... Today (Monday) we went the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor which was great we also visited the Punch Bowl memorial site and a few other places close to our hotel. Got some good pictures at Waikiki beach at sunset which I will try to add to this post but it may not work and did lots of shopping and eating. We are still trying to adjust to the 3 hour time difference. Cant wait to escape to Laie and leave all the hustle and bustle at Waikiki beach.

Christmas day we opened presents at home then head to Ryans side of the family to do breakfast and open more gifts. I dont know how we will all continue to fit in Grandma Peacock's living room in the years to come. There is people, presents and wrapping paper all over but its fun.

Here are some pictures of our yearly Christmas Eve party with my side of the family. The chocolate fountain went over well as did the gingerbread houses. Some of our traditions are decorating the gingerbread houses every year and opening one gift which is new pj's for Christmas. I may have to add the chocolate fountain as a yearly tradition also, it was so fun. One thing I didnt get pictures of was Grandpa Schwartz playing the wii with the kids. They had a great time and was laughing so hard it was hilarious. I think Grandpa really liked the wii.

Ok went and seen Twilight again. For the 3rd time. I have to say I love this movie. I cannot wait to buy it when it comes out on DVD. Hayden told me I need to leave work the day it comes out and be the first to buy it. I think he loves it as much as me since he begs me everyday to go and see it again. I am still trying to finish Breaking Dawn. I am just not sure about it. Just started the 3rd "book" titled Bella and I am hoping something grabs me so I cant put it down because right now I am having a hard time picking it up and I did not have that problem with the other books. Once I finish it maybe I will read it again and see if it is different the second time. Any way it has to get better with all the hype and everyone I ask says they like it..... I just had to get rid of the stitches picture as the first picture. It was driving me and Zach crazy. So here is an update on how baseball season went. Zach's team only lost 3 games all season and got to go to tournament. They won the first game at tournament and then lost 2 in a row and was eliminated. But it was fun and Zach did good all season. He got to play catcher, first base and right field. He also had a great coach. Hayden still had to do T-ball this year and was bummed about that but he did great also. He played all over the field and always hit the ball out in center field. Here are a couple pictures of our baseball season.

Well here is a picture of Zach's stitches from his pogo stick accident on Sunday night. He has a total of 7. OUCH!!!!!! So becareful if you ever pogo stick. I dont think Zach will pogo stick for a long time if ever again, although he loves it.

Spring Lake Fire Pictures

Below are some pictures we took on Friday night (August 1) of the fire right above our house. It started low on the mountain Friday about 3:30pm and just grew and grew. We had several planes and helicopters working on it all evening. With the high winds it picked up about 8:30pm and worked its way towards the canal and the homes above the canal which ended up being evacuated. I dont know if any homes were burnt but it burnt all the way to the entrance of Payson Canyon. You could feel the heat from the mountain just standing outside on our front lawn.
